Joy Kwakuyi
Dr. Joy Kwakuyi, DNP, PMHNP-BC is a mental health expert, pastor, and bestselling author with decades of experience in Africa, Europe, and the USA. He is a board-certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Founder and Director of Faith Integrated Psychiatry, the Founder and Pastor of the Impact Chapel of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) (www.impactchapel.org), a Co-Founder and Director of the Marriage Mentoring Network (www.mmentoring.org), and the U.S. Country Director of the African Mental Health Association, all based in Tucson Arizona. Dr. Joy helps to optimize his clients’ psychosocial functioning and personal fulfillment through comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and individualized holistic programs that include psychotherapy, medication management, faith-based counseling, life coaching, and public speaking, while helping other mental health organizations to improve clinical and business outcomes.
Dr. Joy holds five university degrees, including a bachelor’s degree from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana (1999), a master’s degree from the University of London (2005), a bachelor’s degree and a post-baccalaureate certificate in nursing from the University of Connecticut (2013), and a master of science degree and a doctor of nursing practice degree from the University of South Alabama (2014/16).
He is the author of multiple bestselling books, including, The Ultimate Cure for Depression: Leveraging Science and Faith for Total Healing, and Ultimate Fulfillment: A Blueprint for Finding and Living Your Purpose and together with his wife, he recently co-authored the Perfect Joy Devotional Journal: The Ultimate 365-Day Companion for Your Christian Journey. His most recent books, The Ultimate Mental Healthcare Blueprint: Optimizing Patient and Business Outcomes Through Spirit-Soul-Body Integration and The Ultimate Pharmacy: Bible-Based Practices for Mental and Emotional Wellness are scheduled to be released during the first part of 2025. He resides in Tucson Arizona with his wife and children, and enjoys reading, brainstorming, and road trips.
Esenam Kwakuyi
Esenam Kwakuyi is a Christian Counselor and a Practice Operations Specialist with over a decade of experience in the healthcare field. She is passionate about creating a supportive and welcoming faith-based environment where our team can provide excellent mental health care and emotional support services to the Tucson community. Mrs. Kwakuyi also doubles as the Co-Founder and Ministry Facilitator of the Impact Chapel of the International Central Gospel Church, ICGC (www.impactchapel,org) and the Co-Founder and CEO of the non-profit Marriage Mentoring Network (www.mmentoring.org).
Esenam holds a Degree in Psychology with a specialization in Christian Counseling from Liberty University, a Diploma in Professional Sales Skills from the Earthnet Institute, and Certificates in many fields, including Effective Ministry from the Daniel Institute and Christianity Through Its Scriptures from Harvard University. She is a co-author of two books,
- Perfect Joy Devotional Journal: The Ultimate 365-Day Companion for Your Christian Journey and
- The Ultimate Therapy: Biblical Interventions for Christian Counseling
and Psychological Wellness.
At Faith Integrated Psychiatry, Mrs. Kwakuyi manages the daily operations of our front and back offices, including, billing, accounting, payroll, financial oversight, and client services. She also supports a large section of our clients by providing the much-needed life coaching that they need while undergoing treatment with us. Supporting our team and helping transform lives through Christ-centered mental health support are two of the greatest blessings of her work. She and her family have been resident in Tucson since 2015 and she enjoys organizing interiors, interceding, and caring for the members of the church community.
MARTHA B. HOFF
Martha B. Hoff is a mental health professional and a seasoned educator with a Master’s Degree in Psychology, a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies in Education, and an Associates Degree in General Education. She is a bilingual professional with over 25 years of experience in developing curriculums and treatment plans, delivering counseling and instruction, and building capacity.
Martha is currently the primary Instructor for our Diversion Group Programs. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Martha is committed to supporting individuals from culturally diverse backgrounds and helping her clients to thrive. She is skillful in creating a positive, engaging, and inclusive counseling environment for her clients with a strong focus on discovery of hidden potential that results in psychological transformation, behavioral change, and mental/emotional wellness.
Martha is a proud mother of three boys and resides in Sahuarita. She balances her fulfilling careers with a rich personal life, fostering a positive and nurturing environment for both her family and the people she works with.
Perlita Mariella Giducos
Perlita Mariella Giducos is a Medical Administrative Assistant with nearly six years of experience in the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry, having started her professional journey at the age of 17. She has built a strong background in administrative support, patient coordination, communication, and client care, which naturally led her toward her long-standing passion for mental health and psychology.
Perlita developed an early interest in psychology during high school and
went on to pursue Psychology in college, driven by a desire to understand human behavior and emotional well-being. Although life challenges temporarily placed her dream of working in mental health on hold, the opportunity to join Faith Integrated Psychiatry reignited her purpose and reaffirmed her commitment to the field. She is dedicated to supporting mental health professionals and contributing to a compassionate, organized, and patient-centered care environment.
Outside of her professional role, Perlita is a devoted cat lover and lives with her mother. She values continuous growth, resilience, and empathy, and strives to make a meaningful impact through both her work and the care she extends to others.
